Makes me sick after what I spent on mine+ updates over the last 2 years, reality is they are going cheap, a friend just bought one fromLOTO last month for 18,000 with trailer, boat is extremely nice..great market to buy!! horrible to sell.

FRMULTR 09-23-2009 10:46 AM

Beautiful boat, definitely a steal !!!

5 years ago I would have never thought a clean/tight 357 would go for less than a 1000 bucks a foot...

I never saw this boat in person but was interested and had the owner send me some close up and detailed photos. She is solid but does show signs of wear. There is damage to the fiberglass down to the fiber on the bow and the port side about 3/4s of the way up to the bow where she likely hit something. It is now in OH but it spent several years on the East Coast according to the current owner and there was evidence of salt water damage. Also, the bottom is painted. From what I saw, she is priced fairly for the boat's condition and the current economy. Just my opinion though.

All depends....I have seen a few boats locally so cheap and not in bad shape at all, every boat has it's issues, you never know what will happen every time out, like I said my buddy just boght a turn key 357 with a dry hull for 18,000....they are out there...

island2 09-23-2009 08:23 PM

That boat caught my eye as well - I never dreamed I'd see a 357 that looked this nice (even with the issues mentioned above) for under 30-40k unless there were some game-stopping issues.

What do you think for speeds with the twin 420s?

It's a beautiful boat... I've been trying to add up some "worst case" costs (going over engines, etc.) to keep myself from inquiring on the details tonight :)

I say about 63-65 max gps with TRS

It says it has spare TRS's, they are usually pretty durable as long as cases are nice, again he said spares...

65 with the wind blowing in the back going down a big wave...

Exactly. There is a lot of very average stuff surfacing that looks OK in pictures that people are complaining that they cant believe are not selling, but are not as great as they seem. Nice boats priced aggressively are selling. But the only ones priced that way are from people that are not up side down in debt on their boat!:drink:

island2 09-24-2009 08:57 PM

Hmmm -- inquired yesterday asking for photos including one of the damaged area referred to in this thread, but haven't gotten a response yet at all. If it's a member here selling it, I hope I didn't offend them with my comments in this thread -- was mostly trying to talk myself out of getting in over my head.
