311 ?
how are these in chop 1-3 how do they performe in 4-6 on a windy day?

They like a LOT of trim and will run with about any 31 foot boat out there.

I own a 272 and a 311 is a much better riding boat.
If you are leaving a 223 for a 311 I can't image you being disapointed. What a jump all the way around. I want one also!! Good luck. Keep us posted. |

My Bravo 311 needs a good amount of tab-in in 3s or more. Not like it's an issue or anything but it does need the bow driven in to ride well. |
I did drive one with a Bravo and thought it liked a lot of trim as well. Maybe it had different props? My TRS one likes to be almost off the guage to get the speed up.

Mine is very similar, needs a lot of trim to pass the 69 mark. I am running 25p mirage non plusses, I wonder how a different stern lifting type prop would affect our boats. I have always been told that you want them to run flat, you would think that with the trim all the way up the drives would be working against the hull. Maybe they just need alot more speed to run flat???

My 311 had TRS and 25 Mirage std props, well had some cup added. Running up to 55mph or so the trim gauge was at 3, 4 max with plenty of air. Going above 55 probably 5-6 on the trim gauge.
Just a killer handling boat! Never got squeemish in any conditions. In the real big stuff it may take a while to get home but at least you know you're getting there for sure! |

If it's a Bravo boat, it does not need or like a lot of trim. Bravo 311s are very bow-light. A TRS 311 is totally different and does need some trim to get it aired-out.
