1993 Formula 271 HP/Speed Upgrades
 

Im looking for some upgrades to do to my fomula to get maybe a few more mph out of it. Being sluggish out of the hole doesnt bother me but i really want the top end mph. this is what i have

23pitch prop

I know i could start playing with props, which i will do in the spring, however what prop do you think would give me the most top end speed? Also any engine modifications i can do to get me just a few more MPH? im looking to spend 1000$ maybe 2000$ at the most, but what can i get the most bang for my buck?

Also, I dont want to sacrifice getting rid of my fuel injection, and i dont want to get rid of my silent choice exhaust. Thanks for any and all tips!!!

What is on it for exhaust? If it's the stock Merc "logs" you can pick up anywhere from 5-10% increase in HP and drop a fair amount of weight with aftermarket exhausts like EMI, CMI, few others too. Probably exhausts and props are the simplest and cheapest upgrades.

I wanted to leave the exhaust alone because i like the silent choice option thats on it. On my last boat i put EMI exhaust on it.. It sounded great and i had probably one of the louder boats on the lake but im kinda looking for some other type of upgrade. any other ideas?

Silent choice? or Silent thunder?
