TerraTRQ,
If you like the 353, I think you would be dissapointed with the 292.....SMALL BLOCKS! There are some great 353's out there right now reasonably priced. I would select a little older 353 with 500 HP's.....just my opinion, but there is a real difference between the 496's and the HP 500's on that boat. I have driven both, the 292 and 353 and there is no camparison in my mind. I don't care for the planning time of the 292's either. I don't know much about the older 336's. Where do you boat in Lake Cumberland. My wife and I have a house on the lake in Bronston. We trailer to Burnside Island or Conelly Bottom almost every weekend. Live in Cincinnati. :coolcowboy: |
the 336 is a huge boat. almost a 382. about the same headroom and cockpit.
the 336 you mention may be the sister ship to mine. 525sc's top speed in low/mid 70's with conventional 24 deg bottom a true wave crusher. Powerboat magazine's offshore boat of the year in 1995 353 will have less headroom, ride a little rougher on big water possibly due to stepped hull ( I never rode in one) , but will be faster. if you are doing mostly river/reservoir running, may be a better suited boat. If you have plans for overnight or family use. will feel smaller than the 336 love my 336 for Lake Michigan Ramb |
I heard they would take 100k for it. I know two people that have been to look at it and said it is clean.
