New To Me '04 382

I finnally pulled the trigger. I just bought MHARRISON'S 2004 382 FASTECH. I just want to thank Martin for a super smooth transaction. The boat shows as new, with almost every available option. He has cared for it impeccablly since new. Martin even delivered it from Louisiana to Massachusetts for nothing more than one way gas money. I don't have any good pics of my own yet,but there are some pretty good ones on the "Post Pics of you Formula" thread. Post 1246-1249.:D

that is one nice 382. I looked at it last year. It was in mint condition. Did you get both sets of props with it?

BONDO10 02-05-2010 12:01 PM

I did get both sets of props, along with a ton of other stuff.A full fitted cover, extra exhaust tips, steering wheel, bumpers, ropes, etc.. Mint alumn. trailer. Just a nice deal from a good guy.

LAriverratt 02-05-2010 01:13 PM

yea he had quite a bit of extras and a real nice guy. I was donw by his house a couple weeks ago bidding some fill material at a job sight and the boat was still in is drive, you must have jsut gotten it.

Very nice boat and well bought based on the stated price. You will love the 525's, Merc did their homework on these, they run like a dream.

the kids didn't like going out on the 382 and love using a friends little center console. Occasionally I didn't want to go hang-out for the day simply because of the wash/dry routine I insisted on doing after using the boat. For now I'm looking for a little CC the kids and I can use and paying off the house.......but it's all up for debate.

Yep. My 382 is heading to KY also, maybe you'll end up on the same lake next summer!!! The buyers seem like a great couple I'd have loved to hang with on the water. They are coming the weekend of the 20th to pick it up......you guys might make a Formula convoy!!! :)

A CC huh...interested in a 24' with a 300hpdi???? Your 382 is sold then???

BONDO10 02-06-2010 06:58 AM

Thanks for all the congrats. REDWENVY did you buy the 353 from commonwealth? I saw your posts about a trailer. I almost went for that one myself. That was defiantly a good deal to be had as well. Fun ride with the 525"s. I can't wait for spring. My new 382 showed up Feb. 1st and it hasn't gotten above 30 degrees since.

BTW Bondo....I just sold my 382, but my previous boat was also a 312. Huge difference and we loved it. Overnighting became a breeze compared to the 312.

Yep, a CC.....but we have a house on the river and evena 24 is bigger than I want to go. The target is under 20.

500'S
I agree, the 312 was a great boat. I had 496's 375hps and it ran all day loaded with people and gear 68-70 spinning 28 bravos. And still really good on fuel. But the size and weight difference to the 382 doesn't compare, nor the fuel economy I'am sure. We run around Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard and the bigger boat is sure to be an upgrade.

hp500efi 02-07-2010 05:23 AM

congrats to both of you guys..one sold, one bought :)
