Some Formula Parts are needed
(updated 3/6/10) Hi, I just pick up a Formula 272 for next to nothing. I will be needing the following parts. There is no rush, so if you have or know someone who has the following parts let me know. Thanks. I found a platform and some hatches.
1) Engine hatch (Any model engine hatch is acceptable, I dont mind cutting one to fit or doing a little bit of fabricating, I would rather not have to fab an entire one unless absolutly necissary) 2) Cabin Hatch and entry doors (the hatch that opens up into the cabin and any doors) 3) WINDSHIELD (any suggestions?) |
keep an eye on ebay, I think I know which boat you bought, been on craigs for a year or so

hunginton station I think, Redwenvy your platform will not work

Yeah that 353 is not the right size unfortunatly. I think this one was originally listed in Huntington bay..but probably the same boat, I got it from the guy who bought of the guy in huntington bay/station...if that makes sence. He needed it gone, and took next to nothing for it. Works for me.

mrfixxall, your in the right location..very funny. I will get some measurements, we are getting more snow here in NY and I am out fo the country in a few days, so I will let you know as soon as I know. What model Formulas are they off of?

Does anyone know if the 312 platform will work?

nope, has to be a 87-92 272/292/311/357 and possibly on eof the cruiser model from the same era they look very similar not sure if there is a size differance

Yeah I just got some pics, oh well the search continues. I am tryung to find something relatively close to NY. the shipping on these wont be cheap. I dont mind picking it up, Anywhere on the east coast.

i have a hatch off of a 94' 303 needs fiberglass work but you have ups pick it up you can have it. if not its going in the trash let me know

I can tell you that a 311 ST platform will NOT fit on a 357. When we re-did the 357, we tried to fit a 311 platform on. Does not work. Along with the wider beam of the boat, the platform is too. And with the way the ends of the transom is scalloped, the 311 platform left about an inch gap on each side between the platform and transom.

another member on here has a mint silent thunder platform off of a 1990 formula 272 screen name [prostockcat] i have seen it personally very nice look him up
