242ls rear seat problem

Has anyone experienced the rear seat forward wall sliding forward and letting the seat fall into compartment? This tends to happen only in rough water, and only when someone seated there. Im looking to find way to secure it so it dosent fall in. It really looks as this must have slipped by the engineers. It dosent look as if there is a whole lot holding it in place. Just wondering if any one has had this happen to them.

What year is your boat? I wonder if it is stock? I found out later that my seat is not stock.

Its a 91 242LS the seat is stock, I fooled with it last night took the top off where it mounts to the forward wall off the compartment, then pulled the forward wall. there is a 2x2 mounted to the top that the seat itself hinges on had come partialy apart from the plywood. I beefed up the staples with stainless screws and also came thru from the sliding glass storage areas on each side with 2 inch stainless screws to help attach wall a little better. Maybe this will work it seems to have sturdied it up pretty good. the only thing holding that forward mount piece in was 4 screws and alittle trim work.
It really sucks to look back and see your passengers sitting in a hole :D

Reviving a VERY old thread. My 242 back seat is not secured well at all. There a good way to secure this in place? Latches maybe.
