Kaama exhaust question

Anyone with a Kaama boat ever use aftermarket exhaust? What did you find fitment wise? I wanted to use the cast KE headers but was told they will not work with most boats that have a transmission. The exit angle of the headers is pretty steep and according to KE it only works well with a Bravo setup.

i have a setup from Kodiak with Imco ss risers that work fine. I know Lightnings will work. i don't see why KE wont? Stellings work as well. Here is a pic of mine.

I redid a Fourmula with Kaama drives and Kaama motors years ago that had Gils on it Not a problem.

The guy at KE said the their cast headers have a steep downward exit ( I think he might have said 32 degrees vs the usual 14) so the exhaust can get to standard height bravo exhaust opening. He said this can pose a problem when you move the engine forward with a transmission and can be further compounded if the engine is lower than a bravo installation. Basically seemed like the tail pipes might have to go up to exhaust outlets which wouldn't be good. I'm not sure how to post a link, but check out KE part # 755 8935 Notice the angle of the outlet and its height above the inlet ports.

I redid an 86 357 kamma and used stainless marine with custom long dry exhaust. Sounded great and will allow a bigger cam. I had stainless marine exhaust on that boat and a 90 292 bravo setup and had real good luck with them.
