Silent Thunder question

can I run the long style stainless marine riser with the silent thunder platform. I'm planning on having my short risers extended so they are dry to the tip. If I do this, do I run the risk of burning a hole through the back of the chamber box?

I run the long SM risers dry to the tip on my 357, no problem.
