Ted, have you been testing already with the 28p's? I am curious. If they work out well for you I am ready to buy a similar set of props.
Thanks, Paul |

Just completed a similar project on my 89 311, pulled my 330s and replaced with a set of Gen V 502 mag motors. Used all my stock accys and added electric fuel pumps. I went for a carb setup which is easier for me. I upgraded to Gil exhaust, but my stock exhaust would have worked.
Thanks for your response. Paul |
I was able to use my stock carb plates for the throttles. I had to order the gil brackets for the shifters. You can also just mount the shift assembly to the transom, cleans up the motor a bit.

Finally Spring arrived, the weather is perfect and it can't take too long to get the boat back in the water again.
The HP500's from James found their new home in my 311 last year and they are running perfect. The end of last season I have been running the old mirage plus 23P props and had to be very gentle on the throttle. 65,5 mph GPS @ 5200rpm and about 75% throttle. Not too long because they will run lean in this way I think. So, time to swap to another set of props. I have checked into prop test/exchange programs in Europe, I can't find such. yesterday I came across a good deal on a set of bravo 1 28P, but following what has been posted already is 28P maybe too much. Maybe someone has new input since I posted this thread and if so, please share your experience. Thanks |
