gas again !!

We finally pulled boat out last sunday. No leak no smell..

Here is the new problem. When I gave it gas I would get a fuel reading. then back on empty. What could it be. I replaced tank with brand new one. Is the new signal sending different to vdo

I am pretty sure they are different from the new ones today. The ohm range is where they are different.

Don't know for certain, but recall the old VDOs go the opposite way, 0-90ohm I think.

The upside is that when you upgrade the dash you won't have to change that sender. :grinser010:

My issue now is that they gauge reads full. There is no fuel in the boat. It still reads full when I take off the sender wire on the back of the gauge. Any help?

ok I just put installed a beede fuel gauge. My boat guy let me borrow and it seems like that may have solved problem.. Im going to park it level and add some gas.. I will update

I'll take a look when I get home. I have the part number of the VDO sender you need for the Factory guage to work. If I recall the correct one is about 80 bucks new.
