Help with trnasom water leak...

I have a water leak at the top top the transom plate/gimbal on my 271. It is a 502 with Bravo 3.
I thought the gasket for the raw cooling water flange was the leak but I replaced that and there is still a leak.
I t is a constant small drip near the top of the transom plate near where the wires for the trim sensor pass thru.
A friend looked at it yesterday and thought it may be a seal at the top swivel point for the gimbal.
I am not familiar with this stuff and it is hard to see anything.

Any ideas.

Could certainly be the Swivel Seal in the top of the Transom Assembly.

Look up JR Marine. They have some good pictures/explanation on what is going on and how to fix it. You can either buy the kit he sells to fix it or you can just yank the engines out and fix it.....

thanx, I looked at the JRMARINE stuff.
It is looking like the steering shaft seal which is a pain.
There are some other things to check first.
I'll let you know how it works out.

That would be my guess as well.
