Well, 292, 303, 312,,

Not sure whats gonna happen, but I may have a offer on my boat, and would like to step up, but my failsafe plan is a 00-04 271, but I would plan on going bigger first, I may be ahead of myself, but I'm also still trying to decide that if its a good offer I wanna part with her yet

so,,,

I need to know some thoughts top to bottom,,, what do you tow with, speed, comforts, any info is great, I think were leaning toward a 312, they seem to have speed and room, along with some comforts, but I worry about towing, probally a year or two until I get a 3/4ton, but I only tow about a half mile or so, with one or two trips about 100 miles long.. I like the 292 because everyone raves about the fuel economy, 303's are nice also but absoulutly hate the dash on the formula's from 94-97,

If you sell your Formula, take a trip to Rochester to look at my 32 Hustler( listed in classifieds). I also had a Formula prior to the Hustler, and used it to set the benchmark of what I bought.

I just lowered my price 5k. You're only a 7 hour drive from here:drink:

This may help a little with the 312/ 292 question. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...292-312-a.html

On my 292 the best fuel econ i got was 60 miles 0n about 42 gallons that was at about a 40 mph cruise. I tow it with a 1500 gmc a bit of a workout for the small 8 but its fine around town and a 30 mile tow now and then. The 292 is smaller then my old 272 but a hell of alot faster 70ish with twin 6.2s

Before I bought my Dually I towed mine with a Nissan Titan. It was legal but you knwe it was there. My advice is buy what you want don't settle even if you have to wait six months.
There will be a lot of great deals this winter I'm sure.

Yes ....Prob the one your thinking about .....Boat is immaculate and is everything the Previous owner said it was ...I think the Prochargers Scared alot of people off but so far its rock solid ...m

VtSteve 07-31-2010 10:47 AM

This one seemed clean. But only 86 original hours on a 2002? It happens I guess.

http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/4281

Then I saw this one, and see how different sellers are.

Both nice boats ... you prob could verify the hours ...but you can usually tell ....Notice the AC in the one listed on PBL? Not a bad Idea .......m

Yea, the former owner dumped alot of money into that boat. He seemed to do things right, and never recall him having any issues with it. Congratulations and Good Luck. :drink:

also one looked like freshwater other was saltwater

afratki 10-16-2010 01:26 PM

I assume the ride of the 312 is better than the 292, can anyone who's ridden both comment if it's significantly better in the rough stuff?
