Stereo Deck Replacement
 

Hi,

I have a 2001 271, and I' like to upgrade the stereo deck. So before I start pulling and prying at the cabinet, I thought I'd inquire how to properly remove/replace the deck. Any advice?

If it is the same as my 353, the radio is held in by a cage from the stereo manufacture. Look under your sink, attached to the inner wall and on a ty-wrap should be the "keys" to release the radio from the cage. You should be able to remove and replace as needed. If the keys aren't there, stop by your local stereo store and buy or borrow a set for that manufacture.
