Out with 292 in with 353

Well, i just bought a 353/525 to replace my beloved 292. I loved the 292 and received compliments on it all the time, Blaze paint theme. However, I always liked the 353 with the stuff on it and the way it handled. So with that said, I have two covers, a light weight Carrie Cover and a full canvas cover custom built for the boat. I'd put it in the classifieds, but figured it was only for a 292. Also, I have the Formula bimini top that I have never opened. I had custom mounts made for the windshield so as not to ruin the lines of the boat. It took me four machine shops and several returns to get them right. Pm me if interested, I have pictures. Will change my avatar to a new picture as soon as I get the boat back from the paint shop. The boat is the Hot Rod paint scheme, but my wife decided that her a** would fry during docking procedures due to the black paint on the top side deck. It should be very cool once finished!

You're going to love the 53, I've had mine for about 8 years now and it takes the Summer Saturday afternoon slop at LOTO pretty well.

I've got 502/425 and have thought about swapping them out for 525s before I go to a diff boat, curious what props are you spinning and what kind of speed are you getting WOT.

Thanks

That 353 is insanely nice!

Out of the "new" graphics packages, that is absolutely the one, and the color scheme on the helm is very classy!

What I wouldn't do.. :)

out with the 292

I am interested in the bimini depending on the color.I have the standard mounting hooks for the bimini on the boat.

Splitdecision271 11-11-2010 04:59 PM

Send me a PM if they are still available. I'm interested in either cover, primarily for winter storage.

I know they are 5 bladed but haven't taken the boat out yet for any runs.

Actually, I'm having the graphics changed as I write this due to the black surface on the deck. My wife felt that it would be too hot to stand or sit on as I pull up to a dock, which I would agree. Also, the air intake pod posterior to the windshield will be changed. Once finished I'll put up some photos.

After you get her in the water I'd be curious to know what you got out of her, if it's enough I might upgrade mine to some blues.

Thanks

Bimini Mounts

FASTMCARS,

Any chance we can get a look at those custom bimini mounts you had made? I hate the way the factory ones look on my boat and was thinking of trying something different.

VetteLT193 11-16-2010 09:43 AM

Interested in selling the Bimini? if so, what color(s) is it?

Here are the pictures of the custom bimini mounts I had made for my 292, and never used, that I promised a few people I'd post for them. As usual, it only took me 4 months to post the pictures and help from the wife to resize the pictures(damn Mac)!!!!!

32 vette 05-11-2011 08:17 PM

Did you buy that new boat from bill @bald knob

FRMULTR 05-11-2011 09:13 PM

Did you ever get rid of the bimini?

fastmcars 05-11-2011 09:54 PM

yes- BaldKnob
No- It took me 4 months to put 3 pictures up - still have bimini!
