engine hatch lift assembly
I have a 87 24ls. bought it last year. the entire engine hatch lift assembly was missing. i would like to get it working again. finding the actuator is no problem, the part i really need is the actual bar
that attaches to the underside of the hatch. i believe it was either aluminum as stainless and sort of U shaped. anyone know where i can find one, or is there another route i can take. thanks Dennis |
That may be hard to find, but if find a local shop that has tubing and can bend it you will find.

it's stainless!

Is it a bar or a bracket? On my 311 and every boat I have seen of its vintage they are brackets. I can get you pictures of mine and you can probably fab some stuff up or have it made up for you. I would think that even the guys that make/sell the rams may have brackets that will work.

Does the lift fit in the center or one side of the hatch?

off to the right side of the engine, seems a bit funky to try and raise such a heavy object from the side like that. the center lift sounds like a much better system.

A center lift would also be smack dab in the middle of the plastic Formula mirror!

Yeah, and you'd have to mount the lower bracket to the air cleaner :lolhit: |
