And so it begins.....

I bought a 95 382 at the end of the summer. It had been sitting a while and it has some issues. The motors have 30 hours on them, but being that the PO was a bit of a dip chit we decided going though everything this winter was our best bet. I would much rather spend the summer boating vs working on the boat.

The game plan is just the usual. clean up the motors, do all the general maint we can while they are out. clean up the bilge, add more batteries, props, new engine hatch and some seat work, headliner downstairs, etc.

Good Luck! I did the same thing in the fall of 2007, except I was "the previous owner". It's a huge job, but rewarding to see the results.

Keep us posted on the progress; it will be worth it in the end!

I have a spare braided upper hose that you need to match the rest! I'll donate it to your rebuild. You don't want to buy that stuff by the foot. Let me know and good luck!

Good game plan, at least when you get her all back together you'll know what you've got, good luck, I'll be interested in seeing her when she's done.

I may have to take you up on that. Thats one of the many reasons why we are doing this. Things just dont add up, there are things that they spent alot of attention to detail on, and others that are completely half arsed.

I'll just feel better knowing "I" went through it and know for sure what the limitations are. I hate unknowns.

Right now the plan is to find someone to do the upholstery (sun pad, rear seat, etc. That seems to be the biggest hurdle. We did come across an ol-timer who works out of his garage, and the price seems reasonable (granted he hasnt seen it) but i dont know anything about him.

Anyone know anyone decent thats not going to break the bank? Im in seaford, delaware i work in baltimore. I dont mind dropn the boat off to someone within a hundred miles or so and having them do what they gotta do.

It takes a bit of work but you will know where everything is when you are done. We replaced the headliner,Installed two flat screen tv's, new AC, new sound system, new upholstery ( back seat, head rest, sun pad)replaced the carpet, New dash and gauges, new motors, and new XR drives, but it is worth it.
