Fair Price for a 2007 400SS with Diesels?
I am planning on listing my 2007 400SS for sale in the spring once I am able to get some good pictures after de-winterizing.
I am seeing prices varying quite extensively and wanted to get the opinions of forum members as to what is considered a fair asking price. It is what I consider fully loaded with the options shown below: Twin Volvo Penta Diesels with ~160 Hours Westerbeke Generator with ~100 Hours Flagship Black Imron sides Bow Thruster Hardtop Raymarine E120 with Radar and Autopilot Overall condition is good with minor wear and tear for a 4 year old boat. |
Say it isn't so Sal...You must be moving back to a go fast with big power right???

Not sure of my plans Smitty, but just thinking it's time for a change. :)

Unfortunately in order to sell it you will be looking at the low 200s
And that is if you can find someone that has cash since getting a loan for most people is almost impossible i had a couple people interested in my 06 with 525's (under 200 hrs and 5 hrs on gen) including trailer and at 200 couldn't get a loan even with good credit scores and 30% down. |
Man, that is discouraging!! Thanks for the info.

I have a 2006 400SS with 100 hours. Due to lack of financing, and all of the repo boats out there I might be able to get $200 if I am lucky. My Dealer advised me to wait a year. Then, the repo boats will be gone, new boat pricing will be higher, and financing should come back.... I would suggest you keep it for now.....

Yes, I would say that you could list if for low 200s but in all honesty, don't expect to sell it unless you are down around 175k, maybe lower.
I will see if I can find the posting. I found an 06 or 07 for sale recently. Hardtop, etc... basically everything except diesels. He was asking 178k and still cannot get it sold. I bought a hard loaded 04 with just the regular arch back in november... It wasn't even a repo, was in immaculate condition, and I got it considerably cheaper than anyone is even asking for the 330s that I see on the market. BAD TIME for Formula boats. I blame it on the economy, and also with the schnenagians that Formula has been pulling with their dealers, and the lack of change in the Formula models over the past 10+ years. I LOVE Formula boats, but I am thinking the powers that be may not be making the wisest business decisions. The 0 down 0% interest they offered for a while on new boats the past few years just SCREWED everyone that owned a Formula. |
Appreciate the information. Let's hope boat lending starts getting better! :D
