Have you pulled your manifolds and risers to check for corrosion? 300 hours in salt water, if the previous owner didn't flush you might have some problems. You don't want to find out the hard way. I'd also be careful about wearing shoes on that 10k paint job or it could definitely be one of a kind. JayFan is right, you were lucky to get that kind of a deal on such a unique 292. You should bring it down here for Jammin on the James.

I Forgot to mention that the risers and manifold were done just before we purchased the boat. We bought it at a dealership for cheap. They wanted to get rid of it. It was a trade in an didn't have room for it.
Any chance you are looking to sell your cockpit cover? I need a purple one!!!! |
Both covers go with the boat, I can't believe that someone would pay an extra 10k for a paint job and is too cheap to buy a cover for a $130,000 + boat. Moses does your boat have snaps already in place? The reason I ask is snaps would probably not line up exactly right if the cover wasn't made for your specific boat. I would think it would be better just to have a local canvas guy make one for you, don't most people usually keep cockpit covers until they wear out? I would definitely get a full cover for your boat...but that's just me.

^^^i have a cover but its a little tired now...just want a new one. plus it has shrunk. i want to replace it...snaps are already in place

if you put it on the boat, then wet it with a hose you can strecth it back out, I had to do it to mine to get the ones across the back snapped
