Tinted Windshield?
OK, I have been thinking about getting the windshield of my 353 Fastech tinted black. Anyone out there done it? If so...pictures please if you have them. I'm not sure if it will look good or if it will take away from the classy look of the boat.

Here's a pic of a 312 I had. The PDF file has a few shots in it without the tint, but I sold it with the tint. It also helped to keep the dash cooler!!!

IMO a 30% tint generally looks good, maybe even a 15%, but if you limo tint it, I think it looks cheesy.

I have the limo tint on mine. Bad part is if you have your top up and its storming or dark out trying to drive/see thru it is bad.

BUT- the 5% is much harder to see out, especially in dim light. For those of you who prefer to boat in bright sunshine- You won't realize this until after you tint, but IMHO the best thing about it is that it takes all the glare off your dashboard. Depending on the boat, can make a HUGE difference in comfort level. After a half-wrap, tinting the windshield on this little CC really brought it to life. http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/6...raft20x800.jpg |
If you go on Bald Knob Marina's website, you can see pictures of a 07 292 with a tinted windshield, under the pre-owned boats.
