Underwater lighting.
Thinking about putting underwater lighting in, any ideas. I want blue lights under the swim platform and possibly anywhere else I can.
|
Are you talking about underwater lights mounted through the hull, or lights on the bottom side of the platform that are above the waterline? There's a huge difference in price and installation procedures. Try a search in the General Discussion area for underwater LED's. There have been several threads.

I like the Attwood underwater light kits for the transom. Just checking to see if any one had used these. They state they are easy to install and are around $185.00 per kit.

Those look really cool. I am going to check on price today.
Thanks. |

Any one try www.H20lights.com ?

We install Hurley tab lights all the time. One advantage to the tab lights is you can adjust the projection by simply adjusting your trim tabs

Livorsi's look like the shadowcasters. ShadowCasters website doesn't have the 6 LED lights available yet. They say coming soon. How much does Livorsi want for the 6LED lights?

Dont quote me but I believe the custom order red was 599 |
I looked back on notes and I was quoted 599. I wanted two 6 led units and was not real hip on 12 led's for 100 apiece...
|
The Attwood have 6 led lights and are $185.00. Don't know how they compare to the rest. My biggest fear is I buy them and they put off very poor lighting. I see pics of the other ones and they seem to shine about 20' out off the back.
I would like to save a few bucks but I can't find much on reviews for the lights. I like the ocean led but they are about double the price of the Attwood. |
The attwoods don't look very bright from the pictures, also they don't make them in red.
|
Be sure to read up on how various LED colors work in different types of water. Certain colors do better in brown or murky waters, while others are best in clear water. I'm not sure that red is very effective in any circumstances.

I don't want red I want blue.

Only misinformation was the dates. new company takeover estimated in 75 days putting us at June 1st. New comp stated only 1 person staying behind, which could be me, but I'm not waiting around. Already have something new cooking :drink::drink:[/QUOTE] well lets cross our fingers and drink to that :drink: |
