whats a 311 worth in this market
 

Im thinking about selling my formula 311sr1 this spring, but cant come up with a far price. Its still very clean both motors (525hp) rebuilt less than 20hrs on them custom trannies trs's with nose cones and interior looks great.

very tough market, I'm guessing 20's anything more then that thats listed has been listed for years literally.

fully rigged with a trailer?

With out seeing it is hard to say. Some place in the 25-35. If you are planning on anything close to 35 it better be a perfect boat and trailer.

Gave mine away for 25K on a trailer, both engines rebuilt, around 200 hours, 365 Magnums with Bravos. Excellent vinyl and cabin, new stereo ...

Didn't you buy that boat last year or the year before? It was either two or three years ago I shot a bid at it and wound up with one from Detroit instead.

:signs069:Yeah I had a 223ls for 8 yrs and had a dream to have a 311 and it so happened a man made me a good offer on my 223 and i picked up the 311 WOW what a jump-up in every way!!!(GAS, maintenance, docking,storage)

Both motors are fresh had them done last spring. Had every thing gone over when the motors where out tannies, drives, stringers and transom every thing checked out. The Tramp comes out of storage may 1 and we still have snow. Ive been talking about getting it wrapped and fitting it with a new rear seat. But my Girl seems to had lost interest in a her. I'm shire you all have been there.

yeah I got it and went through both motors and had the drives and trannies checked out new batteries, alternators starters belts est....

18-23k for the quick sale? Ouch! When i was looking i couldn't find a 1 under 33k. And they told me it was a great deal LOL

The boat market is soft now
 

I picked up a '93 357 this past October that I had been watching for a while.It was listed 2 years ago for 90K, later 70K, then 50K last summer.The owner was happy to sell it to me for 35K.I will be listing my '89 311 in a few weeks.I figure about 20K is what it's worth now.

I had my eye on a 38' in CT listed on ebay just like yours.

I am still throwing all of it around really. I will have upper
$60k in my boat to do it right, and I will NEVER see anywhere close to that back out of it.

I can buy a 35' already built in the $60kprice range. It is cheaper to buy the keys:evilb:

I still need a 800hp drive, full steering, HP Gimbal, and whatever other little odds parts to complete my build.

If I can ever get out of the sand box(Afghanistan) and get to just see my boat, I will be happy with that alone.:lolhit:

271Sr1 with 800hp is that 1 motor or 2 sounds fun. When i pick up my bout after the motors were done I got the chance to run it with a 311 500s a357 500s and 2 sonics 1 with 496h.o's and one with 500's WOW did my boat preform that day She really rocks. Every 1 at the dock alwas ask "whats in that thing" While we're idling louder than the stock 500's through hulls. thats was great!!!!!

You have a nice boat. The pics you sent were great, I think I want to sick with a 95' or newer. The 800hp is a single 598 NA motor, it is sitting on the crate next to the boat. If I go forward with the build, I think it will be a bad A$$ boat when it is finished:evilb:

I had a 242ls one time that performed real good, until I found out the transom, stringers, boxes, etc were rotted out:angry-smiley-038: The silent thunder box was leaking by the exhaust coming through the transom. Lost my tail on that deal.

TC area a few times a yr. We have a cabin
a lil west of TC in the Honor area on lil Platte.
Currently have 211 liberator I've owned for 15 yrs
still very nice but would like to go bigger to go on Torch &
Grt Lakes.

The motors are fresh custom 496's p&p merlin heads, j.e pistons, dart intakes, lightning headers, advanced trannsmion disk kit, with nose cones.
