That's a pretty good price! :drink:

After breaking three of them, I reinforced all of mine (including the ones for sale) by drilling them out and pressing in a short length of stainless steel welding rod.

6 for sale: $3 each + shipping.

C Spray, I will take all 6. Mine are yellowed also. I sent you a pm. Thanks, Larry

OK, Here's the scoop:

Racgngrn was next in line. I'm awaiting a response from him; he has until Thursday.
Ur2Slow was next if I don't get a commitment from Racngrn.
If neither of those guys commit, 427 Larry gets 'em.

Thanks guys - Hope that it works out for all of us.

Now: Who needs some headliner material?

Using my mechanical engineering degree, that solution will not really help with cracking/breaking at the base of the shaft. As you are probably aware, your greatest stress is at the base. Ultimatly the shaft acts as a cantilever creating a giant moment arm. If I understand correctly the SS pin ends just before the base because it cannot be pushed in any further.

The only way to actually reinforce the base is to use a conical shape instead of a straight shaft but this would have to be done at the injection mold stages. Bennett has actually implemented this design into there latest switch.

Sorry to be a downer.
