My 2003 292 came with factory labbed 28's. I really hated them, way too much slipage. Running a set of labbed 30's now, but would like to try a set of bone stock 28's that i picked up this winter. Labbed 30's still have too much slipage, about 20%.

Live Wire II,
Let me know how they work. I bought my 2002 late in 2003 as a new carry-over and have not had much of a chance to dial it in. |
88 272 with twin 330's bravo 1.5's. 25 pitch quicksilvers (mirage) 64mph at 4600.
thinking about sending props to darin at houston prop for next season. want to maintain/improve 40mph at 3000 cruise and improve top end to somethign over 65mph I hope. |
Originally posted by Troutly I don't believe they made the FASTech hull back in 1996. The first year was 1997. In 1998 they added the updated interior to it. 66MPH is doing very well for a 502 MAG with a 23p 3 blade prop..... |
Ram, if you get the chance try a set of Quad IV's and check them out. They'll give you some stern lift which would reduce drag. Try maybe 24 inch. Worked great on my 311. Just a thought.

1989 Formula 292 twin 454's
spinning Bravo 1 22p at 5100 rpm, tabs all the way up and drives out to 6 3 guys and half a tank (75 gal) maybe 66-67 on GPS. Same scenario at 3400 rpm, tabs all the way up and drives at 4.5, maybe 45-46 on GPS. |
2002 292 with 377 scorpians, 32p lab props . 82 mph with a gps speedo.
