anyone know what layup formula used. epoxy? vinylester? poly?

specifically in the transom, I have to replace mine and need to know what resin to get.

You can use anything you want. I would go with Vinylester. It is much stronger then Poly, and easier to top coat it when you go to paint.

I thought you didnt want to mix em up? what if they used epoxy?

They did not use Epoxy so you are all set with what ever you want.

I am fairly certain it was poly. I used vinyl on mine and liked it. If you search my user name you will come across my transom replacement thread.

HAWK, man does that look familiar!!! just got mine out yesterday after a little inspiration from your transom thread.
I had the exact same mulch transom as you. truly hard to believe that a transom full of that kind of crap can feel even a little stout.
