382 w/t 700's at National.

Anyone know anything about the 382 with 700's that's at National? Seems like a great price with 700's and only 50ish hours.

I do all of their Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Inspection and Service. I'm in and out of there often. I can put eyes on it if there is anything in particular you need to know.

That boat is probably being stored indoors on a trailer in their big warehouse.

Let me know.

If you have a moment to peek at it, I would be interested in it's condition. From the pictures, it looks pretty clean. There is a 2007 on boattrader with 700's and it's like 329K.

Be glad to. I have noticed that most of the high end Cigarettes, Donzis, Formulas, Apaches, Fountains, etc get put inside out of the weather in the warehouse...that being said...unless it's a complete rag, that's where I'll see it. Most of the inside boats I have seen there are in decent condition. I am probably as critical as you are...I'll let you know...might be a few days before I'm back in there......stay tuned.

As far as the $329K for a 2007...you have to remember...like Mid Ocean says..."A boat is only worth what you can borrow to buy it". You have a better chance of seeing Jesus walk in the front door than getting a bank to loan more than 50% LTV on a used boat in this economy.

customryder 06-21-2011 04:31 PM

That is one ugly boat..what were they thinking?

fossil fuel 06-21-2011 05:27 PM

Formula financing, Obummer bailout, .50 cents on the dollar boat. Thank You America

This spider boat?

aquaforce 06-21-2011 09:01 PM

I've been watching that boat for a while. They want $299K. As said before the market will determine price which would never be 299. Obviously they still have it.
That boat was built for the Miami boat show. It has everything. It didn't sell in Ohio for about a year and now it is in Fla.

I have the build sheet for it from Formula.

spk1 06-21-2011 09:22 PM

I saw it last thursday, its in nationals warehouse sitting just in front of that beautiful 36 apache. I did not get inside the boat or look at the engines, but from a walk around she was very clean.

That Apache Warrior 36 is sweet ....is it not? I drool over that boat every time I see it.:evilb:

I am a Formula guy at heart...and even though I haven't seen the 382 yet...the 36 Warrior is much more "bang for the buck"....but even it is overpriced at $79,900...in this market:eek:

259K, not good, 152K for the same year and 700's, not so bad and money left over to repaint it!!!

Any idea what this boat runs with 700's?

There is a Boat Test video out that has the 382 at 81 with standard power. The test quotes that "Formula states that with SC700's this boat runs deep into the 90's. We don't doubt that statement"

Look it up on BoatTest.com

I remember "Captain Steve" said that the 382 Formula was the fastest boat he ever tested for Boat Test.

So ...I guess if you really want to haul ass.....
:evilb:

Do a search for it in the Apache forum. One of the members chased that boat from Ontario to 'Lauderdale and took quite a few pics of it.

In my view the boat is mint...and I have walked all around it.

I would love to own it.

I rode in the 08' factory Formula Poker Run Boat, w/700's, and 6 people, it ran 89.9, Vic said, with 2 people, it would run 94-95.

That's about as close as we are getting to running it ourselves...very believable.

With some after market tweaking I would not be suprised to see tripple digits.

Apparently Captain Steve has never made it to Washington N.C. :party-smiley-004:

Don't know if its just me but that one starboard pipe looks like it ran hot.

:eek:whats wrong with the paint????:party-smiley-004::lolhit:

aquaforce 06-23-2011 06:20 AM

I don't like spiders at all and that paint doesn't do any justice to a Formula. If I picked this up it would definately get covered up with something, anything but that ugly spider stuff.

I guess the wtf4 was what the wife said when he brought it home. :lolhit:

In all the pics I have seen the ladder on the platform must be buggered up because the lid is always partly open.

LAriverratt 06-23-2011 07:04 AM

I agree on the paint...not what I would want on a boat....my favorite formula paint scheme is this one http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...63&f=37863.jpg. There was a 382 for sale in Texas with this paint scheme when I was shopping a couple years ago and to me looked much better on the longer hull !!!

Yeah...I don't recall Boat Test ever testing any of Reggie's boats....I guess he figured he didn't need to pay any body to test his boats. I think they all got "rung out" before they were shipped.

Yes. Those are colorful graphics.

I like these too, High Voltage. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...74&f=38874.jpg

This is an eye catching graphic scheme. :drink:

fossil fuel 06-23-2011 09:31 PM

Mine runs 97 with 4 and two coolers of beer.........

aquaforce 07-29-2011 09:01 PM

It is in the classifieds here now.
Shogren Performance Marine bought it and now they are trying to flip it.

Back4More 07-31-2011 12:05 AM

How do you know that?
Maybe the Lien holder is having Shogren list it since he can take trades on it.

Maybe, but I doubt it. This boat has been for sale for a long time. I have tracked it for well over a year and several brokers. After the price of $152K at National Liquidators it wouldn't seem very probable to me to try and repackage this thing at $229K simply because of trades.
Trades is just how Shogren does marketing.
I'm waiting on verification of the purchase price. :)

Back4More 08-01-2011 12:07 AM

Well now you can trade in your boats on it.

aquaforce 08-01-2011 09:10 PM

I'm thinking I'll keep my LS, sell my SS and buy a 382 but I'm not ready for the purchase yet. Soon hopefully. :drink:
