357 Good, Bad, the Ugly?

Hello all- considering selling the two boats I have now and getting into a ~35' performance style boat. Don't care about going 100mph. I have always liked Formulas and the 357 is the style of boat I am looking for. Anyone want to comment on the good and bad (if there is any) on this model TIA.

Check the cabin floor for rot. They have an issue of water intrusion. I am having to replace the bulkhead between the gas tank and cabin. The water was flowing onto the tank from the cockpit and has rotted the forward bulkhead.

We love ours, lots of boat for the money. They are heavy and you'll need a nice size truck to tow it with. There have been some nice ones for sale lately. Get a survey and have the drive line checked before you buy. That great deal can turn bad real fast. Keep us posted and good luck.

I have one and really enjoy the space! all over the boat ! huge cockpit, cabin where we can sleep 5 in decent condition, large engine hatch to lay on, lots of room in front of engines makes maintenance easier, great windshield, camper top... not too many speed boat offering as much room, except sonic for cabin, but smaller cockpit...

the bad? not a 100 mph boat but handles the rough stuff like no other! Let me know if ever you are really looking for one! I'd maybe try to move on a 370 SS !

What top speeds are you getting on the 357s?

I have logged mid 70's on the GPS with twin supercharged big blocks, aprox 600HP per side. I am in the process of removing the cabin to take care of some rot and have not decided if I am going to go back in with a cabin, I have a cruiser for overnighting. The 357 does have a lot of room in the cabin though...
