Air condition
Looking for input from other owners that have AC cabin. How cool can you get/keep the cabin in the summer? I can get the cabin to 76 at night, but only in the low 80's during the day. It's 92-95 degrees here with 100%humidity, heat index 105-110.
Low 80's is still a nice break during a hot day, but I was hoping to get the cabin colder at night. Currently running on shorepower, generator is one problem after another. It's coming out this week for repairs. |
I had it on the 311 I just sold and whatever you se the temp. at thats how cold it would get no matter how hot it was outside. I loved it and everyone would give me **** for it but once they slept in the boat over night they wanted one.

from my old 382:
Above 95 made it tough to get below 75 in the cabin during the day but after 7:00 it would start to drop and I could get it in the high 60's. 80-85 at night meant I needed flannel sheets it would get so cold!! |
I had the same problem till I had the temp sensor moved from air intake area in unit to outside of unit. I have 3 units on my 45 and this weekend we had actual temp's of 104.
Cabins were at 72 during day, 66 at night. Also might want to get your freon check. |
I have not experienced that with my AC, mine chills down to lower than 76.
|
If it is freezing up it may be a air flow issue. The forward ducts may be mashed. The ice will plug the coil and everthing will stop. Mine is dead now. I'm thinking trash can and new unit.
