Metallic silver upholestry

Just picked up some mcLeord power bolsters from a newer formula. The seats are white and silver metallic. I have some other upholestry panels I want to match to the seats. Any idea where I can get the silver metallic vinyl? If all else fails I will have to call McLeord.

Thanks

Call McLeod! I buy most of my vinyl from them. My experience is their prices are very competitive!

I'd check with Formula as well. They could at least supply you with the proper code # for the vinyl.

I'd use Formula as a last resort. When I was getting vinyl for my boat, Formula was 4 times the price of McLeod. There is a difference in quality and the MeLeod vinyl lasts!

I'm not saying to buy it from Formula. They are an end-user, not a distributor, so they can't match the pricing. The vinyl used on the bolsters is specified by Formula, and is the same that is used for the rest of the interior. My point is that they can give you the exact specification. Good Luck!

And McLeod charged me a premium for rear seat skins they ordered from Formula, claiming they still made them in-house for Formula which is BS. Buyer beware ...

Thanks everyone!

Talked to McLeod and they have some ($20 linear yard)

FYI - that silver has been discontinued so if you have this color you may want to reach out to McLeod and buy some material just in case you need some repairs at some point! :drink:

The manufacturer of that vinyl is Morbern
I also bought a pair of those seats from Gordon. I went to the local upholstery shop and matched it with his sample book. However, the white is impossible to get outside of McLeod...and that is not real easy either.....

Thanks!

I have a few samples of both silver and the white coming from McLeod to make sure we have the right colors and then I will buy some of the silver!

Did you end up being able to match the white or get some through McLeod?

commandersander 01-13-2012 11:37 PM

Unfortunately, no.

I bought a bunch of remnants off of another memver here....and then....changed again.
Funny thing though, the "Formula" white is not as "white" as what I have now through Morbern...and it really looks "new"

502,

Are you going to use those bolsters in the S-Type?

McLeod uses allot of the Morbren Seabrook Silver, and we have it in stock. Checkmate Marine uses it also, but as mentioned it is going to be obsolete very soon. I priced the molded bolster panels for Scott's 312 in the previous post and Justin Van Dijk priced them at $643.09, so we just reused the white panels in his Formula.

Let me know if you need any help from us?

XT
