Yup, behind the door |
Not there. Pump is port of the tank, wire harness runs to the center then disappears. Maybe they forgot the switch........ Maybe the tank has a float that activates the pump when it has water in it.
|
Are you talking the on/off switch or the high low pressure switch that is on the pump itself?
|
Yep on off switch. Its a small diaphram pump with the pressure switch on the end if pump housing. My breaker is under rear bench is that where ur breaker is? Tank has never been used I am begining to think this is why.

My breaker is there, switch is buy cooler, pressure switch is attached to pump under removable panel under bed. My pressure switch went bad once if you tap it with a screwdriver it may go on. That way you will know if its the switch. Does it not work? |
i assume it is a working pump. i tapprd on it to gt it to cycle but nothing thats when i started looking for the switch. No switch at all in the cooler storage area, no switch in the cabin at all other than the 3 for the lighting. I may just have to pull a new circuit from the breaker to the cooler storage area then over to the pump.

There's no on/off switch in the 02's. Switch was added in 03 or 04, right under the sink where everyone is saying it is. It's just a pressurized system. Turns on when you need it, turns off when the pressure builds back up. You can always add a switch if you want. I don't have the transom shower just the sink in the cabin. Which hasn't been used in 2 seasons.
I should just turn it into a drink dispenser, would get used more then it does now. |
thanks split. owe u a beer. I will stop looking for that dammed switch.
|
I spent a few weekends looking for it to when I first got the boat. I was only ever on the newer models at the boat show that had the switch. I looked all over before I got my hands on the wiring diagram which showed no switch.
|
Don't owe anything. That's what we are all here for. Happy to help.
|
Sorry we sent you on a wild goose chase, never would have thought that some models did not have a switch. So does it work?
|
Funny thing, yall could have had me keep going. No it might be under this, take that off, twist this LOL.
I will fill with H20 tomorrow and report back. hope it works, just threw down 400 for new tachs since my starboard tach took a dump and gaffrig doesnt make the same one I had. So I am replacing with 6k tachs instead of the 8k that were stock. Thanks again. |
When I bought my 292, the wires to the pump had been cut. Didn't think to much about it at first. Easy fix, so come spring I rewired it, turned it on and got nothing. No hum, no noise, no click, nothing. I did get heat. Disconnected it, pulled the entire pump out, took it apart only to find the motor had seized up. After thinking about it a bit more, I realized what had probably happened was being pressure sensitive, when water tank ran dry, pump ran continuously. With no water, motor heated up and seized. With no On/Off switch to the pump, previous owner just cut the wires. I don't understand why he didn't just trip the breaker.
I like to think this is why the switch was added to the more recent models. So the breaker wouldn't have to be tripped everytime the water tank ran dry, so that the pump wouldn't run continuously. |
well hopefully the diaphram pump that is in there is rated to run dry. . We will see once I return to the boat.
