Hey guys I am looking for a flat glass 242 SS. I have only ever seen one. That was a 1986 . Does anyone know if they were also made in 85,85 ? They do not show up in the on line archives. Anyone know of one for sale ? Thanks CDM Naples , Florida

I had an '86. They were made in '84,'85 & 86 in a similar configuration to the 242 SF "Sport Fish". Here is a pic of my '86 the day I bought it new.

They were available with a single 260 Merc/Alpha One I/O or up to a 300 Horse Outboard. The biggest outboard in '86 as I remember was a 300 Johnson. This was a very solid boat with deep free board and was a great riding dry boat. I took mine from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas regularly.

I have a 1986 242 SS BBC w/Bravo but it is not a flat glass, I my thinking about selling it (looking at 31 PC's), hit me up with a pm if you have ant interest. I am in western KY area.

does anyone know where I could get a low windshield for 242? Or is it a case of chopping the original frame down?
