Adjusting throttles

Hey guys,
I took my boat to the ramp to start up both motors, make sure all is well with them after their winter sleep and I noticed to synchonize the rpm's (at a high idle, since I didnt take it off the trailer....water is still too low) my throttles are off quite a bit for a matched rpm between port and starboard engines. How do I adjust this to more even them out?

I would hold off tell you are actually driving the boat and see what you have.

There should be a threaded connector on the engine end of the cable. Loosen the jam nut, and extend (unwind) the connector on the engine that runs at at higher rpm. This will open the throttle a little later on that engine.

IMO syncing with the motors in nutral is a waiste of time. Ya you may sync them in nutral but that does not take into account slight differences in props, the way the water comes off the hull...., can all effect the RPM's while under way.

Thanks guys, I will adjust the cable connector as suggested by C Spray and once the water comes up a little more in our lake take it out and fine tune like Audiofn said.......Brad
