Dreaded "What's it worth" 1967 233
I'm trying to figure out if I should try and sell my Formula whole or part it out.....
It's a '67 233 that was completely restored in 1998 Engine rebuilt in 2005 The interior was done in 2010 The transom is soft on one side from an un-sealed bolt hole.:( Sooo, Here's what I've come up with for $$ in parts..... $1500 Complete Bravo setup $1500 350 hp 454 $1500 Trailer $1000 Stainless marine manifolds $500 Hynautic manual hydraulic steering $500 Volvo - Mercuriser adapter plate. ? Hull, 3 fuel tanks, interior. What do ya'll think ? Is it worth more than $ 6500 whole?? Very nice boat and tastefully restored. Seriously, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You are looking for a very small niche market of potential buyers.
If you are serious about selling it and need the money, you will get more money quicker by parting it out. If you have the time and have the attitude that you don't really care if you sell it...you might come across someone that will give you $5K~ $6K for it. If you get in a hurry you might not get $3K for it. Good luck with it. |
Why not fix the transom? Not THAT hard to have done.

Too many boats projects, I had been using it while my boat was down but decided to just get my butt in gear and fix mine asap and Doug needs to do the same on the Excalibur so Formulas has to go whole or in pieces, whatever brings the most.
Formula was supposed to be the family cruising boat Just ended up sitting most the time. |
