89 357 SR1 on craigslist in Toledo, OH
http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/bod/2968858957.html
Doesn't seem like too bad of a deal considering I have been looking at 88-92 242s and some of them have been close to $20K LOL. |

That looks like a great deal if the survey checks out, and you have a rig to tow it with.
88 this could be your new ride might as well go big right. |

Are they the same as a 382 @ over 6 feet? Are there filler cushions for the 357? I am curios of a comparison with the 382. Your graphics are the same as my 242ls. It would be cool if I had matching boats. |
Good questions. A 357 is actually 37' 7" with the platform, so there is only 6" overall differenece between the if 2 boats. The Couches are over 6 feet long, I am 6 feet tall and sleep there with no problem. I do have the filler cushions, so that area makes one very big sleeping area. I have a lot of pictures posted on the boat over al www.boatfreaks.com if you want to see more pictures.
Thanks JR |

Lots of calls and emails, offers to trade for motor homes, bikes, etc., but I still have it. Come on guys, help me sell this so I can bring the 382 home.

So.... the boat went from Lake St Clair to Baton Rouge, LA for a year, then to Buffalo, NY for 5 years, then to Toledo, OH for 2 and now back home to Lake St. Clair! I bet the Michigan owner will be surprised to see it back in his home waters! It was a great boat, in great shape with lots of nice updates. It also was the only one that I had ever seen with a full camper top. I eventually bought a 382 and didn't need two boats. I am sure that the new owner will enjoy it (until he decides to upgrade to a 382!!) |

Hay guys, thanks for taking care of this 357. She is still runnin strong. I plan on keeping her up. She is like a time capsule. The camper top is a great option but she looks funny with a tall top. Haven't met the previous St. Clair owner yet. Been out just about every weekend.
|
Matt,
Glad to hear you are using the boat and everything is going well. I was up on St. Clair a few weeks ago but didn't see you. Take care JR |
