Old Fuel Question

I need some advice... the boat I am buying has been in heated storage for the past 2 seasons (winterized by his marina).

What should I do with the nearly full tank of gas in it!!! I would cry to have to pump out 80 or so gallons. I was thinking of just pouring some Seafoam down there and just run the boat hard all weekend till its completely empty.

Important to note, that he replaced the gas tank in 2009

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't risk it. Especially if it is supercharged or HP motor. If it didn't require 91-93 octane, you could just fill it up with 93 to bring it up to 87 though. Pump it out and run it in a car, they are much more forgiving.

Pump the gas out and run in the the lawn mower for the next few years. As much as it sucks to get rid of 80 gallons of fuel, at least you did not pay for it, and it would be really expensive if you run it and it screws up the engine.
