Is there another fuel filter besides the fuel/water separator?
 

Giving my 88 242 LS with 454 Mag a tune up and want to make sure I don't miss a fuel filter other than the separator. Is the separator the only one or is there another fuel filter somewhere? I've done a lot of research on this board and others and can't find a definitive answer. Also, is the Napa Gold 3225 the corrector fuel water separator? Thanks in advance,

There is sometimes a small in-line screen filter just off the carb. Also, there is often a screen filter on the end of the pickup inside the tank. Other than that, the water separator is the only "real" filter.

Remove the fuel line from the inlet of the carb, unless it was removed, should be there if it still has stock carb on it. I had 365hp mags and both had them.

the one on the carb should be what they call a rock filter,,all you have to do is clean it with carb spray and blow it off and reuse it..
