Remove "silent thunder" box
We're gonna start taking the boat South to Cape Coral this Fall/Winter and I'm currently having a closed system installed w/flush outs and was wondering would it be better if I removed the Silent Thunder box and what else would be smart to do, thanks.

If anyone have any thoughts on this I'd appreciate it.

I took mine off years ago after we realized it was holding water in between the top of it and the bottom of the swim platform which in turn was just adding more dead weight back there.
Took it off, installed the rubber flappers on haven't looked back since! Plus it sounds a little better with it off as well! |

Now with me taking this 353 down to Florida I was wondering if it would be better to take the box off while using it in salt water and if there's anything else I should be careful of. Thanks again |
h2oboy (Andy) took his off his 303... best thing he ever did for the reasons already mentioned. Not sure if there is anything to really special to consider. I'm sure he'll chime in.

After running in that Miami Poker Run, the only advice I can give is have plenty of cleaning supplies at the ready... that salt gets EVERYWHERE. It's fun boating, but hard on equipment. Good luck!!!
