Prop size, help!

I have a 1993 336 SR1 with factory stock 525sc's, does anyone know what pitch prop this boat came with from Formula.

I am not sure myself i have a 303 turning the original 23 mirage's 1:36 drive 502's for power, you can contact Formula they will help

the delayed response my be the fact that our setup is quite rare.
my 95 ( with notched transom) and 525 sc's came with 25 pitch 3 blades a 1.36 drive ratio. It won offshore of the year in 95 and they claimed 77 mph at 5200 in salt water . it was the first of only 5 with this engine package in 1995.

I am running 24 4 blades labbed.
I can see 73-74 mph on the speedo at 5100-5200
I think a 1.5 ratio and 27 three blades might be the fastest setup. mine is great for cruize ( 50 mph at 3200 rpm) but I loose a little on top end
i would like to try the original 25 three blades some time to see the performance differences.

hope that helps

Thanks, I bought the boat three years ago, they had to buy new props for me to sea trial the boat. they claimed they called Formula & were recommended 25 three bladed.
The boat was very responsive accelerating, but topped out at around 4800 rpm doing 73-74mph. I just recently had some service work done & they told me that the props were too big, that I needed 23 three blade. So I bought a set, It does not feel as responsive, but my rpms did come up to 5000, which they feel is still a little on the low side. I'm still able to get 73-74 mph. I do like the way the boat feels with the 25's, but worried about strain it puts on motors.

Call BBlades, Bret will abe able to help you get it dialed in. Most likely having your 25's labbed will get you where you want to be.

I agree. have either of them labbed, tell him you need 200-300 more rpm and they will thin the blades and dial in the cup.

Considering the cost of a boat and motors for a given power, lab finishing the only connection of that power to the water is the most efficient use of your $$$ for performance.
