223LS - Prop/Speed?
 

Asking for some advise on what I should be getting with my setup.

Current setup -
88 223LS
502 BBC
Bravo 1
24p Bravo 1
WOT = 4800 RPM

Does this setup seem to have the correct numbers, not sure if I should try a different prop/ freshen up the BBC or if I am at the optimum specs for my setup.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What GPS speed are you seeing? Pushing a 24p prop to 4800 rpm sounds like your motor is running well...

No GPS so I'm not sure what the real speed is, and I know the Speedo is not accurate. I just thought that I should be up another couple hundred RPM's. Thanks for the input. Do you suggest a different prop pitch? I know others here @ OSO will have some input also.
