Trying to run a transducer cable on a 353
 

I'm in the process of installing a transducer for a new depth sounder. I figured I would install it under the step on the opposite side of the factory mounted one, but there is no clear path to run the cable. The factory wire is maybe 14 gauge and it squeezed through a small opening at the top of the step. I can’t figure out where to run the new cable which has a molded ½ inch connector on the end. Any suggestions? The boat is a 2005 353.
