1999 Formula 353
I'm new to the forum and this may be an old question, I am looking at a 1999 Formula 353 with 300 hours. It has 500's that just had the valve springs done. The boat is very clean and its local to me, always been in fresh water and its the original owner.
My question is, he is asking $75k through a broker, I know he accepted $67k and the deal fell through. So at $67k, is that a good price given the age of the boat? I have looked on NADA but not sure if that is a good judge of performance boats. I have looked at one other 353 and a lot of 312s and this is a very clean 11 year old boat and is better than most 05s. Comes with full covers and a spare set of props and an eagle trailer. Ready to do it (and get it surveyed) but thought I'd toss it out. Its 11 years old, non fuel injected, but in higher than average shape. Help talk me into it! |
got 1 down by me with 500.s came from winni lakeport brand new trailer think it can be had for $58.000 98 353

1998 353
I have a 98 353 w/502 EFI. Under 400hrs. Always rack stored at huron lagoons marina in huron OH (pic's on their website).
Asking $49K obo (sorry no trailer) |
you can get newer 353 for that price. 500 carbed = Gill exhaust = (water reversion issues)
ever in salt water? you should be able to get into that boat in the upper 50's to LOW 60's depending again on condition, saltwater, etc. |
He stayed at $75k and would not move so I walked. It was so clean and always fresh water, I would have done it if it was lower.
Can't imagine he has many people looking. |
bet i know the boat .sitting at irwin marine or was ??.if the same boat they are asking 75.000 and the guy wont budge i made an offer of 68.000 and left a 10.000 dep there 2 + years ago i see its still there .boat was clean
