Hydromotive Q-IV Prop
Anybody need a 26p left hand Hydromotive 4 blade prop? I
had it labbed and only ran it once. I have $700.00 invested in it but I'll take $350.00 plus shipping. |
formulafastech,
I have a 502 and running a 26p Bravo 1 prop at 5000 rpm. The Hydromotive run close to 5000 rpm after it was labbed. It ran pretty good, about the same top speed. What are you running for a prop? Maybe this Hydro would run better if it turns another couple hundred rpm's. Let me know if you're interested, I can give you a good deal. |
formulafastech,
Are you sure you have a right hand prop? I haven't seen any other formula 271's that were right hand, all were left hand. Look at you're prop to make sure it is indeed right hand. What is the gear ratio of your drive, 1.50 or 1.65? Mine is 1.65. I am running the 26p Bravo 1 prop at 5000 rpm and 67-68 mph on the speedo, gps has shown 64-65 mph. I have a 28p Bravo 1 coming to try. You can change the direction of your drive by switching the shifter cables around. Let me know if you're interested in the Hydro prop.:p |
Somebody out there needs this prop. I'll take
$300.00 plus shipping.:D |
Let me run my boat this weekend, it is '99 271 with a 500EFI, 1.5 ratio. I am running a Bravo 1 24p reworked to a 23p. I have just had some work done to the motor and I think I will be under pitched. Just for the record, max recored speed on GPS was 71. Should get another 1 or 2 with a labbed prop though.
I will let you know next week, where are you located? Would it be returnable? |
boatinbill,
I am in Oswego, New York on Lake Ontario. I would like to sell this prop not just loan it out. Let me know, it's a great price for it. Thanks |
271, understood, my intentions would not be to borrow it but to buy it. But as we all know every boat acts differently with different props. You never know until you try them.
I just asked because if it really didn't work on the boat I wanted to know would you take it back, I would pay shpping both ways. Not a big deal. |
OK, A Prop 101 question (or should I say a dumb a-- question), left hand rotation, is that clockwise or counter clockwise rotation (for forward thrust) as you stand behind the boat and look at the stern/stern drive/prop.
|
boatinbill,
If you look at the prop with it on the boat a left hand prop will rotate counterclockwise. Also look at the blades starting at the hub, they will curve to the left for left handed props and to the right for right handed props. I hope this helps. |
