2003 fastech 292 I just took apart has wood in transom

The only wood in the structure of the boat is the transom. The stringer system is a composite grid. All Formulas have a wood transom. Jeff Wurl

haha it's true all fastechs still utilize wood core transoms with composite stringers. formula does gel coat the cut out so when looking it will appear white.

Yep I was under the impression it was composite, until you told me and now that I've taken it apart I found yes wood transom with white gel spread over the bare wood to seal.

Thanks for sorting this out guys!

With a little bit of luck tomorrow, Ill own a 2001 353 Fastech by the end of the day! :)

Have been in the market for a Fountain 35EX for quite some time (mostly because I couldnt afford the 353)
But then this object showed up, looking forward to take a look at it!
