Came out nice, I am surprised it does not cover the windshield to help the interior.

Took the words right outta my mouth, make sure you cover that dash up to prevent fading and cracking!! otherwise looks great!

smokin' gun 12-03-2012 06:08 PM

why not cover the windshield and down the sides ?? its a big help on saving the dash gauges ect, and always 2 poles i dont care how small it is when i have em done i specify 2 poles and the seam runs the length of boat .

Crude Intentions 12-03-2012 10:41 PM

The boat already had snaps installed. I just had hue cover made to match those. The black part of dash needs to be repainted as it is already faded and I haven't found anything to bring it back yet. I keep trying. Thought about tinting te windshield. I never drive behind it, I'm always above it.

It's pretty bad but ill give that a try. Contemplating pulling the windshield and reprinting the black part. Not cracked or anything just well faded. Boat sat for a long time with cover hence me redoing whole interior and covering it. All the screw on panels are being redone and painted along with new vinyl and no more wood. All synthetic plastics on interior.

Haven't tried meguiers yet so ill try that next

Where did you get the cover at? I was contemplating taking mine to XT Innovations, they did my interior last year so like you I need to protect it. They quoted me 1100 for a new cockpit cover over the windshield with a zipper acces. Good idea since these boats look silly with bimini tops.

Crude Intentions 12-07-2012 10:58 AM

Mine was made by cape canvas. Same price. Snaps were already installed on boat. They made it to match.

88242LS 12-07-2012 01:10 PM

wow thats expensive,

waterboy222 12-07-2012 02:07 PM

Thats what I was getting ready to say! $1100 to cover 1/2 the boat?! Mine was 350 and it covers the windshield in my 292! My Full cover was only 700..

The 1100 I got quoted was to cover windshield, 2 poles vs the just 1 I have now and add a zipper access instead of having to unsnap the whole cover. Don't know how much the zipper access was but that's using sunbrella too.

smokin' gun 12-09-2012 07:53 PM

ive had 3 covers made for 272s all over the winshield and with 2 poles never payed more than $650 and thats all with sunbrella and him coming to my home to make them and his work is awesome .thats way to much $$

Crude Intentions 12-09-2012 10:56 PM

Sorry I personally don't see the point of 2 poles. Cockpit area isn't that big. I already got burned by 1 interior place down here. Sh*t work. Took the sh*t work to this place they saw everything wrong with it I saw. Let them redo it. Looks awesome. Thier price was real close to sh*t price just a little more. So with that said ill pay more to have it done right.

I understand people pay more or less for things in different parts of the country not debating that. I'm glad others are getting it cheaper. The reason mine doesn't cover windshield was my choice. The boat already had snaps on it. Wanted them used.

You need two poles so water won't collect on the sun pad. With one pole it will. I have to also agree the price seems outrageous. For my 242 it cost me $650.00 out the door with sunbrella and over the windshield. I need to have one made now for my 292 but the interior is only 1 foot longer so it should be the same price.

86242ls 12-10-2012 10:47 AM

That is a nice looking cover, never seen one done like that.

This place came highly recommended so if I overpaid that's on me. I want quality. I was quoted 800 by the place who did crap work so I was happy to more for quality work. It rained the other day and full runoff no pooling. If I ever notice water pooling I will make an adjustment. Boat sits at the house so it'll never be out of sight. I will overpay for quality. They are slowly redoing entire interior doing away with all wood. Will be all synthetic.

I was just trying to show an upgrade. Obviously not up to everyone's standards here but I'm happy with it and that matters most.

dont let this place bring you down...looks good.

88242LS 12-10-2012 01:17 PM

Yes it looks good I did not mean to get down on you, just picked up on a cpl things like the over the windshield thing, really helps the dash out, just keep towel over it thou once u get it shined up again, and yes price does depend on where you are and what kinda work you receive,
