White Upholstery

Having XT Innovations redo my upholstery on my 312 Fastech, has the original Key Largo (I think that's what they called it) color scheme which sucks... Doing the hatch and eventually the bolsters in all white with a blue stripe across back area of the seat. Anyone have any pics of an all white interior on a fastech? I want to see what it will turn out like!

Crude Intentions 02-17-2013 12:02 PM

I don't have any pics but I'm doing my 272 all white with a grey stripe on armrests/back seat and a grey stripe around outside of bolsters. Sun to hot to have to much color in Florida. Sh*t burns. Hahaha

314joey 02-17-2013 03:38 PM

Here ya go, not a stitch of color

Rossman40 02-17-2013 04:04 PM

Love the plain white!! Thanks 314!!!

All white, there's nothing "plain" about it,.............. lol, messing with ya............ it originally had a little bit of color, I went 100% all white about 4-5 years ago when I re-did the upholstery, everybody that sees it in person just loves it and so do I, good luck with your decision.

XT did my 312 1-1/2 years ago.. They did a great job on mine.. But I matched it to my paint with blue, purple and a composite gray colors.. You can see their work. I have a picture under ".upgrades to your formula" last page of posts.. Under Silent Lucidity.

The armrests were built by commandersander. They will have red led cup holders in them.

What a fine mess you've gotten me into Ollie:cartman:

314joey 02-20-2013 12:31 PM

WOW, both you guys got "real" projects going, good luck with them.
I'm they'll be great when they're done, let's see them when you're done.

Here's the only color on my 353, when I installed the GPS for down here I had to remove my speedo and move a few thing around to make room, so I had Innotech make me a new carbon fiber dash and put it all together myself, it turn out fairly nice I think.

Looks good Joey. Here is my new gauge panel and layout. Unpainted but you get the idea. No tachs as they are in the floscan and speed is on plotter by GPS.

Buck you have it all out!! Haha. Mine is getting done more piece by piece. Can't wait to see yours finished. Also I'm gonna redo my hatch more like the newer fastech like joeys

Looks like you're getting close to finish, you'll be itching to splash her when she's done, just let me know, the dash is going to look great with a nice big GPS.

Buck, keep the pics coming on the re-do, love this stuff, gonna be nice.

Crude Intentions 02-20-2013 12:55 PM

Hahahaha. Yeah mine is gonna be painted a red to match my Eddie marine elite controls and wheel and then get the hydro carbon fiber in silver. The interior is gonna be 99% white with a grey stripe around armrests and backrest and a grey stripe on each bolster

I'm itching already. As soon as I get home march 7 ill be in it getting it finished!! Hopefully I'll have most of it done or all of it done except the paint on the panels. Still have to find someone to do that but right now I just want it back together. Once I find the right painter I can pull the panels in a matter of mins.

They actually used a dark gray that has light silver in it and looks like Carbon Fiber.. Looks way cool.. Not as bad as you would think in the sun. No shoes allowed now either

Xt has the patterns I think , they sent me pics of a 311 they did. My guy is close and has done other boats for us recently. Nothing special, just a decent job.:helmet:

If I wanted a "naked bird" , how do you get rid of the graphics? Are the graphics under the gelcoat or "stickers" on the surface. I can feel a lip when the white transitions to red color.

It is Imron paint on top of the gelcoat, however if you wet sand it off.....I have heard there usually is a "ghost" in the gelcoat where the paint was.

97FASTech 03-06-2013 12:55 PM

^^^^Crap! I'll just have to put up with the color when buffing / cleaning. Thank you Nort (not thank you I'll have to put up with the color, but for the response) lol

314joey 03-06-2013 01:25 PM

That's why when I saw this all white one 10 years ago I bought it on the spot and I've had people ask me about since then and it'll be a while before I part with it.

97FASTech 03-06-2013 01:47 PM

Aw come on Joey, your just rubbing in now!!! lol

Did you follow where your former, my big sister ended up?
