353 height on trailer

I did a search but couldn't find the answer. I know it can vary with trailer but we are about to put a door on the new garage and the 353 is on the short list of possible future boats.

I need height of tallest point (windshield) on trailer. If anyone has length that would be great too, although I have 40ft and I can always add removable tongue if I have too.

GREATLY APPRECIATE any responses!

I know its not the EXACT same boat. BUT

I just went though this with my Baja 342.

Mine will slide under a 9 foot door by about 2-6 inches.... so I am putting a 10 foot door incase I buy a little bigger boat.

also on a trailer my 342, from tong to props is 42 feet.

and I have a pic of my boat and a 353 in the water close. may not help casue the boats are not the same distance from the camera, but they are pretty close in hight. the formula was the furthest away, just past the yellow rinker

On the trailer I measured the total length to be 40'-6". Don't know the height since I never measured that and the boat is in indoor storage (remote) so can't measure it now.

It's going to vary slightly with the type of trailer you have, but mine is right around 9ft. high on my trailer.

I just measured, my 353 is 8'6" on the trailer.

Always go with the bigest door you can fit. You never know when your needs may change. Much harder to make the door larger. Plus make it as wide as you can so that you don't have to worry so much when backing it in, especially if you have to turn in instead of being able to back strait in.

Thanks

Thank you for all the responses. Garage is already built had to decide between adjusting header to get 9ft even or putting in an 8ft9in door.

Thanks again!!

Should clear a 9 but not by more then a few inches...

You have to get it on your trailer and measure before you commit to a short door. Even though a hassle, either measure or make door as tall as possible...jmo
