No, too many damn jet ski folks do that for us. Only during off season will I come that close to that dock. All other dock are 100yrds or better or idle to them. An old rule my dad "Beat" into me.

I believe Smith Lake was the first body of water I ever had my 292 in back in October 2005. Bought her from Robert Nelems of Nelems Marine.

It is the same lake, except you were on the jasper side. I saw your pictures in the build thread. My boat also came from Nelems when it was new, however I bought it 3rd hand.

No box and no silent choice. Standard cast iron manifolds and straight out the back.

How does the new steering feel?

Oh the steering is the cats meow. Super tight but super smoothe.

I'm looking for some warm weather and nice water in the northern Alabama area to start the season early. Where would you suggest? We were on the Ohio River in mid April last year.... I'm thinking that probably won't happen this year.

Can't swim till late may but plenty of sun and nice water on smith lake but no real destination. No restaurants or things like that. Just rocky lake shores and houses. Pm if you want more details. Also there is the Tenn river but with all the rain it looks like mud and strong currents.

Nice. Got my 292 out yesterday. She goes into the shop today for some minor fixes, computer tweaking, and sending out port supercharger for a refresh.

How are those prochargers doing? You gonna do the poker run in orange beach first weekend of june?

They are running great. Had one blower refreshed last year so I figure I'd get the other done. You can always find me on the boat between Destin and Orange Beach.

Did you do any internal mods with the pro chargers?

What were you're final speed numbers. Comfortable cruise and top end. I seriously want to go the 383 route and try for 400 to 425hp per side. The blower whine is not my cup of tea.

I am topping out right at 80 at the moment on a warm summer day. I am hitting the rev limiter with a lot of throttle left. Cruising 55-60. Looking into some prop tweaking, MSD ignition, exhaust, etc.
