Looking for a clean 311
Hi guys I am looking for a little help trying to locate a decent 311 with Bravo drives and a trailer.

Jiffy292 has the cleanest one ive ever seen and was priced right last I saw. Aluminum swim platform, full hydraulic steering. Will sell with or without power

If those are 7.4's like it says on the motors they are 330 hp. Probably low 60's mph on that boat. 700 hours isn't too bad. I have seen 330's go 1200 hours without ever being apart.

Here's a little TRS Formula SR-1 eye candy

Good luck in your search. I just bought my 1990 311 last winter and absolutely love it! I'm sure you will too if you get one! One thing I really wasn't happy about was the engine package that mine came with (330's). It was the right colors and year for me so I bought it. Hard to be too picky with a boat that's over 20 yrs old. I've had these motors in other boats with no major problems and they are great motors that will go for a long time. These engine will push the boat to almost 60 with four blades and 61 or 62 with 3 blades while sacrificing midrange. These aren't horrible speeds, but you don't even feel 60 in this boat and you'll want to go faster. I would try to find one with the mag engines. More HP and just better motors. 365's would be good and 420's even better.
Just my 2 cents. |
Pgolder.....I was really close to buying your 311 this past winter. I emailed you a few times but ended up going with a 31 scarab. Still dig your 311!

I am currently working on a 90 with twin 502’s stuffed in her. I would like to stay with bravo drives because I have a couple extra drives from other projects and know I can always get parts and or swap out if needed.
|
Jiffy, if you decide to sell let me know I am going to pull the trigger on something in the next month and your boat would be something I would be interested in.

I've got a 1986 F311 just lowered to $14,000.00, but it has TRS drives.

The guy that owns this boat is Tony Anton, he only bought it I think the year before last. Seemed like he mainly used it to cruise on the river on the weekends. It's a nice boat, I would buy it. His dad is a pretty thorough marine surveyor as well so I'm sure he went through it before the son bought it.

JBA,
You won't regret buying a 311.... I have had mine approx. 7-8 yrs .... absolutely believe it is the best bang for your buck out there .... I have approx. 800 hrs on mine .... second owner ... I have put on myself over 480 hrs .... I have 330s w/bravos .... very reliable .... they have (touch wood) never let me down ..... boat runs approx. 62-63 gps with 23 pitch 3 blade mirages .... I also have a pair of 24 pitch 4 blade props ... Revolution 4 .... which I prefer .... lost approx. ... 4-5 mph top end ... but I picked 6-8 miles mid range .... 3000 rpm = 40 mph .... 330s give you great fuel economy .... mine is a 88 ... If you are interested .... I have a buddy of which I boat with regularly .... has a 1988 311 w/Trs drives and recently freshened motors .... his boat is located in Rochester NY .... currently on Boat Trader .... very motivated to sell .... If you wish to contact him .... PM me and I will get you his number.... Good Luck !!! |
