Where did you guys hook up the positive cable for the amps to?

I would think there has to be some where to hook up to besides directly to the battery?

This is in a 98 353

um , like where . oh hold it hook it up to the capacitor .and then to the batteries . deffinately fused to the batteries bro .

what I meant is there a Distribution block anywhere? this way it can be ran off either battery

maybe a battery swich . I have two under my bench seat . but I like the shortest power and ground as possible . my amps are on the engine compartment front wall sort of speaking . ran directly to my stereo only batteries . starting battery solely for starting the engines and boat acceseriers. good luck rob . I use 4 gauge minimum on my stereos .

right to the battery with the power cord and a fuse able link with in the first 18 inches of the battery, doesn't matter if the battery switch is on that specific battery or not, it will pull the power as its connected directly to that battery. The radio head unit will give the amp the signal to power on or off. The radio should work with either batteries selected so as long as you have the radio powered on the radio will send a power signal to the amp to power up.

What I'm saying is... if that battery is dead the amps will not power as well. Perko switch is where i would think you want to hook it up to but just wanted to see if there were any other spots.

There should be a wiring diagram with your boat. You can also call Formula for the wiring diagram that will show you where any remote power cable runs are located. I had a remote connection point in my 419 Fastec in the cabin that fed the stock amps. If I remember, it was a sizable power cable run. I just tied my capacitor to that run and I was running about 500 watts or so with no issues. Also, I had a large power cable run up to my dash.
