I know I said this last year, but I should be able to make it. I was heading to Tice's last year for the event and grenaded an impeller. Will let you all know in a few days, thanks for the invite.

Sounds like a good way for me to test out my new to me Formula with a run to AC. Thanks for the info.

This is the second group of boaters heading to AC that weekend. Searay and BSHA is planning something that weekend as well.

Slugo - Where's your home port? Where do you run usually?

Home port is in Bayville, just bought the place last year been working on fixing it up. big fan of the town, some real nice Formula's in the area. I always wanted a boat and was a HUGE fan of Formula so pulled the trigger on a 90 272, got it the weekend of hurricane sandy drove to Michigan to get the boat. Took it for a test ride in 40 degree weather one of the coldest boat rides I was on. I'm relatively new to boating so haven't gone on any long trips. normally go to governor's mansion off island beach state park just because it's less crowded, once I get comfortable with the boat I'll go to Tice's and then AC. I might go with the BSHA to AC just so I have people to follow down since it will be my first trip down the inner.

Very nice! We have a crew of 6 formulas that can be seen out on the bay any given weekend. I come out of forked river. Mainly run back and forth to tices with a rare trip to Toms river. Hardly see north of seaside bridge but I'm getting better as of late. More adventurous this season. What's your color scheme on the 272? I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you. Don't see too many SR-1s anymore so should be easy to spot you.

Oh ... I got ya beat. Bought my 292 end of 07 up in Lake George NY. Sea trial was Dec 1st. Truck read 17 degrees when we got out. Had winter coat gloves hat etc. body was shaking signing the paperwork. Not cause of nerves but was still frozen from the damn sea trial. Have never been that cold and don't plan to be ever again.

That must have been one cold ride, think I might have considered throwing on my snowmobiling gear on for that Sea Trial ha-ha... The boat has the classic palm beach colors, not as many of the old Sr-1 around except for the one that is about two lagoons away from me in the exact same color scheme lol. I'm hoping to be out this weekend for my second maiden voyage as the first one my ignition sensor went right after I backed the boat off the trailer.

Hey SplitD, I love that we are the reason Toms River is on your boating resume!!!! Slugo, your boating a little closer to me. We are out of Goose Creek just north of the bridge. Maybe I'll see you out there and we can run down to Tices to meet the "Shallow South End Crew", you'll see what I mean (Split D, haha)

Might make it we hang at the Cove quite a bit and the marina so will stop by but prob not staying the night...
